Ethiopian Coptic Cross: These crosses were crafted by hand in Ethiopia. They are silver or brass in color and were cast from base metal, which is a mix of different metals and the actual silver content is unknown. The production and use of these crosses dates back hundreds of years and they are still made in the same traditional crude manner as they were originally. Coptic Crosses often incorporate a circle; sometimes large, sometimes small. For the Coptic Church, the circle represents the eternal and everlasting love of God, as shown through Christ’s crucifixion, Christ’s halo and resurrection. There are lots of various designs of the cross.
